The Kevin Greenidge Charitable Trust was established in 2023 to help disadvantaged young people in Barbados. Dr. Kevin Greenidge, a philanthropist at heart and for whom this Trust is eponymous, set up this facility to contribute to reducing poverty, to help the less fortunate improve their lives, and to give back to Barbados.
Our goal is to provide opportunities and encourage positive lifestyles for disadvantaged young Barbadians through counselling, mentorship, and financial support for educational and other needs.

Dr. Kevin Greenidge, a philanthropist at heart and for whom this Trust is eponymous, set up this facility to contribute to reducing poverty, to help the less fortunate improve their lives, and to give back to Barbados.
The Trust gives financial support to young people who lack the means to realise their educational needs. It also provides counselling and mentorship programmes to guide them towards positive lifestyles.
You can get financial help from the Trust to pursue tertiary studies and or receive counselling/mentorship.
Students of The Alleyne school who excel in CXC Business Studies can qualify for a scholarship. The school nominates candidates for the Trust’s approval.
And the Child Care Board also recommends three former wards of children’s homes who wish to pursue tertiary studies to the Trust. They, too, can receive scholarships.
Yes. The Trust offers two types of scholarships. One to a student of the Alleyne School who excels in CXC Business Studies, and three general scholarships to former wards of children’s homes who wish to pursue tertiary studies in Barbados.
The scholarship for the Alleynian is valued at BDS$1,000 annually, and the three general ones, BDS$2,500 annually. Each scholarship also includes two-hour monthly mentorship sessions with each winner and Dr. Greenidge.
Both individuals and corporations can donate to the Charitable Trust by direct bank transfers. Click here for more details about how you can contribute.
